ABOUT OUR COUNCIL
The Fort Worth Council of the Navy League supports the service members, and their families, who are stationed at Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base (NAS FW JRB). The council
is active in Sailor of the Quarter and Sailor of the Year/Marine of the Year recognition programs and actively contributes to the annual JRB Navy Ball. Council representatives liaison with area Members of Congress to ensure that the
needs of our maritime forces are foremost in the priorities set by our legislative representatives.
The council also supports area youth programs such as Naval Sea Cadet Corps and Navy Junior ROTC programs, primarily through awards to recognize superior character and financial assistance for
their organizations.
And this year will add a new relationship as we proudly participate with the city of Fort Worth in sponsoring the Navy’s newest Littoral Combat Ship, the
USS Fort Worth (LCS 3) , to be commissioned this September.
Throughout the year, we support and participate in various awards ceremonies, dinners, fund raisers, and the NAS FW JRB Navy Ball.
The Navy League is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. Our activities are made possible by your tax deductable donations. Your support is gratefully appreciated.
